Like the CODE, I think the reinvention of the LAB360 is even more in the new iteration of pieces, as previously LAB360 felt a little too niche in the design, and the colours were a little to be desired. LAB360 has finally come into its own, specialised for workouts and geared to enhancing certain activities with tasteful colours. Squat Wolf has also gone a little bolder with spicy patterns and styles that may not be for everyone but is certainly welcome.
I really like the Canal Blue and contrasting sleeve colour of the Raglan Performance Tee. A little sporty and athletic but distinct, it’s not just the colour tones but the unique features that bring it to life. The Raglan Performance tee has a square cut hem, and raglan sleeves that hug the upper arms, ad an abrasive-resistant panel on the rear trapezoid shoulder area. It reinforces any back movements with slight resistance from the defined shape that feels different at first but you get used to it. The LAB360 range has grabbed my attention that’s for sure.

I needed some tanks, vests and stringers for the warmer climate, pieces I can lay back and enjoy while outdoors and on the beach. The style of the Versatility tank hooked me in, with a white, canal blue and navy pattern that’s easy on the eyes and screams ‘beach vibes’. The Golden Era range, for the most part, has a bodybuilder fit, so the medium size hugs my waist but the stringer hangs slightly relaxed to compliment developed chest and shoulders.
I certainly don’t have the physique but with broad enough shoulders it can still look pretty good I’d say. I just wish the stringer was a little tighter and loose but that’s the Golden Era for you. Going a size down won’t solve this issue as it’s the fundamental design of the series, so bear this in mind. Big fan of the style and colours and if the type of fit suits you perfectly or you don’t mind the extra hang on the chest, then be my guest!
Essential Tank

A staple tank top that’s minimal, functional and light to wear. The no thrills or stylised approach to the Essential makes it fitting for daily exercise. The material is light but fairly dense, with a wider shoulder panel for more coverage than the flashy vest/tank/stringer alternatives if you want something pared down in flamboyance. The Essential line is meant to be affordable-function and comes in pleasant colours with a slick Squat Wolf logo in the middle like the Core Tank. You can go true to size as it has an intended normal/relaxed fit.
I got this in a Sand colour which is a nice change, however the staple colours such as navy, black and burgundy are all here to choose from. From my big sweating sessions, the Essential Tank holds onto sweat and doesn’t wick moisture as great as say the LAB360 performance vest, but if sweat patches aren’t a problem and when you just want to get workouts done, this will serve you plenty.

A more conservative vest with a stringer strap down the spine, the LAB360 has a nice hold on the shoulders and lats, with a relaxed stomach area. The LAB360 Performance vest has a little more weight than the Essential Tank with a stronger upper body hold. It’s an in-between of the Golden Era and Essential Tank, offering a balance of workout with similar rear muscle freedom over the Golden Era. Just with a little more subtlety.
The shoulder fabric has a certain fit that moulds to your shoulders and hugs the body which feels stable when doing intense workouts than the Golden Era. I like this vest for exercises like the rowing machine, treadmill, skipping rope, dumbbells and any back and lat workouts. It certainly feels durable with a performance focus to help you get in your zone and crank those high intensity workouts.

I’ve worn several Squat Wolf shorts including their Dry Tech 1.0, Limitless and Core mesh, and I think these are my new favourite everyday shorts from Squat Wolf. They feel premium in the hand and I love the super weightless fabric. It’s easy to pack down for travel to the gym and breathable for my legs in the hot and humid tropical climate. All the pockets are open access, but you’ll find a small pocket on the right side to keep things like keys closer to your legs so there’s less risk of falling out or dragging as you work out.
The relaxed waistband fit earns extra brownie points over the other Squat Wolf shorts I’ve worn as the tension feels perfect in comfort and base tension. The Warrior range features a unique side split hem that curves over itself, but the shorts are thinner and lighter than the Warrior shirt and tank which are thicker and heavier.
I went true to size as a Medium and it hits the spot in comfort, moisture wicking and stretches with a modern cut. If you prefer longer coverage which sits around the knee, the extended length version is what you want to go for. I can see myself adding the other colours down the line.
Code Cargo Liner Shorts

I like the new direction Squat Wolf has taken with the CODE series, as it has a stronger identity in urban exploration and tech-centric design. As a big fan of cargo bottoms, the CODE cargo shorts piqued my interest. These have a built-in liner with semi-compression and solely feature cargo pockets. The mid-weight fabric and square-like pattern have a touch of design and robustness to the bottoms, with a drawstring to tighten the waistband to my liking.
The cargo pockets are fairly rigid and feel secure. They pair well with longer shirts for easy access, but I do miss the typical side pockets. They replace rather than add pockets in the CODE cargo so the extra utility is amiss from the usual. I’d wear these for more recreational and leisure outfits as Squat Wolf’s more gym and active shorts feel more appropriate, however, I do appreciate how durable these would be for active travelling.
Squat Wolf Haul Favourite
This Squat Wolf haul feels like a step in the right direction, with a stronger identity of the LAB360 and reinvented CODE series. The Warrior Shorts impress me the most and receives the most wear as they’re just too good of a choice for any occasion. Out of the stringers – despite my lack of bodybuilding mass – the Golden Era edges it for me as a great piece for the beach and working out in. I just wish the shoulder straps were tighter but I know I’m not the intended physique for Golden Era styles… it still looks good on me though!
That being said, the LAB360 Performance Vest is an excellent active and workout piece when I want to get serious, while the Essential Tank is your everyday staple. Although the CODE Cargo shorts aren’t to my taste as much as I hoped, with the extra pocket utility sorely missed, I praise them for the comfortable liner, robust material and cargo pockets suited to Squat Wolf’s drop hem and longer shirt length.
