Last Shelter: Let’s Unpack Eden Dissidia Season Rewards! [S5]

Season 5 comes to an end. Ticket Rewards Unpacked!

Last updated:

Annnnnnddddd breathe. We did it! That is Eden: Dissidia wrapped up, Season 5 of Last Shelter. Woo. What a fun introduction to my first SX season. The last 50 days has finally gone by, and even though that sounds long (it is), the journey was really fun, an interesting experience and a very refreshing change from Doomsday Conquest. I much enjoyed Eden: Dissidia, even the slow parts as the guild final positions were set in stone a couple of weeks before, but the season challenge, and preparation for Season 6 all-in-all made for a solid start. And of course, the raft of SX heroes mixed in with our state floating from legendary to ggold to silver division in Clash of Zones. Here’s my Eden: Dissidia debrief, some highlights over the season and of course unpacking the meaty season rewards we’ve worked for. Exciting!!

I’d like you to enjoy the unpacking journey of my season rewards, where I talk a little more strategically and some of the thinking’s around heroes and ticket decisions rather than a straight pull of heroes, so enjoy the video. But if you can’t afford the time, I’ll leave the reward spoilers at the end of this article. 🙂

SEASON REPORT CARD

SEASON 5
FORMAT EDEN: DISSIDIA
MAP 900046
GUILD TEQ WARCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS
GUILD OCCUPATION POINTS 300
CONTRIBUTION POINTS 80,304
TILE IMMUNITY (LEVEL 16, 8001)
INDIVIDUAL RANK 7

As my first Eden: Dissidia SX season, I can say it went as good as it could get. I was able to hit level 16 0% poison from the final two weeks in a map that was largely decided much earlier, which meant less tile turnover of rss plots, allowing me to focus on viral upgrades without disruption. I was present in most checkpoint captures throughout the season, as I got better organised with my telepad creations and timing to hit at the required time intervals. From the last 2 weeks of the season is when I focused on accelerating my honor points, foregoing rotating my level 16 tiles.

We had a few good highlights as a guild, having had 200 meembers and roughly 15G of power as we were joint 4th in the season ranks as the first 3 took the maximum occupation value of 2000. Certainly, the new SX heroes are a mucch more step above pre-SX heroes, save for the more developed or top pre-SX combos that still do very well. You’ll definitely want to save super tickets and upgrade for SX heroes in your first season if your pre-SX combos aren’t that competitive.

GUILDS LANDSCAPE

It was known early on that we would have a difficult season, put into the same Eden Map with known powers from states 840, 819, 827, 831, 801 and more. QWG, CXV and SEL quickly became the established powers, with neutral agreements they would share the top spoils for smooth diplomacy and earned rewards. Naturally, many mergers and movements happen throughout the season, with B Guilds helping out as sister alliances for protection, but also part of the diplomacy for decent season occupation. The top 6 guilds were as follows:

GUILDPRIMARY STATEVALUERANK
QWG840>20001
CXV847 / 810 / 820>20002
SWP841/ 822/ 827>20003
D2P8193054
TEQ835 / 827 / 8413005
EH78773006

There were many mergers when it was evident the remaining points for the rest of the guilds to fight for were less than 1000. Thanks to the diplomacy efforts of select members from our original mDE guild (same as our alliance in 835), we were able to work mergers for most of our members into TEQ, SWP and QWG. Our leftover nDe and nearly all other guilds besides 1 that scored 100 points for a little more season rewards sat on 0, so fortunate to be on the other side, but difficult map for everyone. Having said that, mergers happened among the top guilds which were more planned, guild merges instead of strays.

I know that because I got rejected in QWG, CXV and SEL. But hey, that’s how it is. I still enjoyed TeQ B nonetheless and happy with our outcome, making the most of the situation. Guilds such as 2DM from 831 and (100) from 817 were mixed into the top guilds, though they had a hard time earlier on with constant fights against QWG and CXV. D2P from 819 had some persistent fights with CXV. We had a few tile scuffles with EH7 for some time, but eventually went neutral. Pretty quiet in the latter stages while all the action were packed in the first half.

SOLE BATTLE SPA #817

One of my epic fights in season 5 was conquering like 11 x SPA bases that were too close for comfort from me. We had just taking a bridge very early on in our sector with a stalemate. I was on the same side of tthe bridge on the side but not too far if they wanted to tile. I kind of sensed they would catch on and I would be a victim without any redemption.

Thankfully, we had a member tile 2 tiles from like a chain of SPA bases, and if I could slide a few tiles to connect, I could wreak havoc and take some down before they take me down. Oh man was it soooooo worth it. Most of my guild members were minutes away and on the other side of the bridge so I literally was on my own save a few reinforcements that could help tile close to me when I called it out.

SPA weren’t particularly strong but I was killing each base I could hit, sending tthem to fallen status and hitting onto the next one. I chain attacked many of them before a few members could support and back up after my distress call for bases to aid in fighting. They eventually tiled to my base but until that happened, I honestly took 8-11 bases from my recollection. It was so satisfying, ton of kills and a fight to the end in prosperity. I still have screenshots of my fellow members congratulating on my single-handed slaughter of the guild. Satisfying!

EDEN DISSIDIA LEARNINGS

In terms of my progression looking back, I think it kind of went nearly as good as it got. Maybe I could eek out a couple more specialty points if I knew of the honor boosting trick before, save a little more composites to upgrade for level 16 maybe a few days earlier, or force tiling a little earlier to build up resources quicker.

I’d certainly focus more on my honor boosting tto prepare more points for S6 rather than try to fight hard in S5. I also could have cycled tiles much better in the first few weeks where I slack but improved in the mid-half onwards. Happy with my checkpoint participation and Eden demolition hits which were close to 300M for relatively little action later in the season – and that didn’t count my near 300M demolition from my old guild.

Eden: Dissidia certainly requires good relations or connections to get into the top guilds, and diplomacy to guarantee a wider distribution of occupation points if you’re not in the top guilds. So takeaway, have strong diplomacy and relations with other guilds. Tile snatching wasn’t an issue from my point of view which was good, usually working together across guilds to complete the enemy tiles or safe areas to do so.

S5 HERO DROPS

I had plenty of fun covering the new SX hero drops and found overall, positive fortune in my hero ticket returns. Those grew stale in the final few pulls before my season rewards, but overall decent set of SX heroes and lineup to build on for next season. Looking back, besides the final 24 SX hero roster drop which didn’t pan out, everything kind of worked well and to my favor so I can’t complain with how I split my available tickets at the time.

I would say hero drop 3 and 4 would be the best to focus on, while hero drop 5 was too risky. I pulled the heroes I wanted in drop 6, however they are in SX ticket group 2 which means unless the smaller hero drops in S6 include them, they may not be worked on for some time. And if you’re wondering which SX group to spend your legendary ticket on, check out my thoughts.

SEASON REWARDS STRATEGY

So with all that, we get to my season rewards! There are three rewards you get in Eden: Personal, Guild and Battle of Guilds, I hit the targets to get the main rewards for the first two and season rewards at occupation value 300. Altogether, they gave me a total of:

TOTAL REWARDVALUE
SX LEGENDARY TICKETS3
S1-S4 SELECTION TICKETS2
ELITE RECRUIT TICKETS2
DOOMSDAY COINS150,000
DIAMONDS50,000
RESOURCE BUNDLE100M
CASH20M

I’m happy to say I was one of the 19 members in TeQ that received the core rewards as recognition of my contribution to the guild which I’m thankful. The difference from Core to Powerhouse reward is not much, with just an extra S1-S4 seasonal random ticket, but it certainly adds more to the rewards. And with what you’ve been waiting, below is a list of heroes I want to land and focus on, to give a wider strategic look on the scenarios who I may want.

WISHLIST FOR HEROES TO LAND

SX HEROES DEATH RIDER (2), KAMIKAZE (2), CRUSHER (3), GLUTTON (4)
S4 SELECTION HUMMINGBIRD (2), CAESAR (MAX)
S3 SELECTION TECH PRIESTESS (MAX), ANA (MAX), VANGUARD (MAX)
DOOMSDAY COINS S4 HUMMINGBIRD, S3 TECH PRIESTESS, S2 IVANOV, SX TICKET II

* () indicates the copies after picking up, i.e 2 = 2 copies, max = all skills

  • If Glutton and / or tech priestess, I’d pick S4 selection ticket and / or DD coins hummingbird
  • If I pick any of kamikaze / death rider, I’d pick captain ivanov in DD
  • If I pick S3 ticket Major Ana, I’d pick Captain Ivanov or SX Ticket II
  • If I didn’t pick any SX or S1-4 heroes, DD coins SX Ticket II
  • If I pick S4 Hummingbird, DD coins S4 Hummingbird or SX Ticket II

Those were kind of the scenarios I was thinking around using the tickets and coins.

  • S4 is risky as I only wanted Hummingbird with Caesar 2nd, Venom Walker ok but Commissar, Juggernaut and Deus would be a waste for me. Hummingbird is who I really wanted as Glutton and Tech Priestess are nearly maxed.
  • S3 less risky in that I have all heroes besides Farseer, either Tech Priestess, Ana or Vanguard would be top pickups, while Farseer would be least and Countdown a waste as she is maxed.
  • S2 is risky as even though I have all S2 heroes besides Viscount, most are only single copy with Ivanov the most worth, and then panther. It makes sense to use DD Coins for S2 Ivanov and risk a selection ticket.

SEASON REWARD OUTCOME

This is what my current SX hero lineup looks like:

HEROCOPIESHERO DROP
GLUTTON34
CRUSHER22, 4
WANDERER21,4
DEATH RIDER11
KAMIKAZE1SX TICKET
HUNTRESS16
PREDATOR16
KOSCHEI16
HUNK16
IRON SENTINEL17

* hero drop = which hero drop I picked the copy from. See my SX Recruit timeline (Season 5)
** copies = the number of times I picked up the hero

You can see Glutton was my most picked up hero in S5, with Crusher and Wanderer having 2 copies. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get further duplicates for the others and so it depended on my SX season rewards to see if I can fill them in. Kamikaze was the exception where I did not pick him up in Hero Drop 5, but instead from an SX Ticket I exchanged my doomsday coins in the shop. Probably my best pickup when considering the odds and risk stacked against me. BOOM!

So that’s the landscape and without further ado, in order of how I pulled my tickets or actions, here are my SX season rewards!

REACTIONS

Well that was interesting wasn’t it! Heaven’s Redemption wasn’t the hero I was targetting but the fact I got duplicates of him is great as he becomes usable. The same with Farseer! I was targetting any of Major Ana, Vanguard, Tech Priestess to max and picked up the only S3 hero I had no copies of haha. However, the fact I got a duplicate of Farseer makes her worthwhile and usable so thankfully both Heaven’s Rdemption and Farseer ended up being great pick ups nonetheless!

They were like none of the scenarios I had planned in my mind so I ended up choosing SX ticket II for my DD coins for a few more chances to get my SX heroes developed. Crusher was an awesome pickup has he’s well-developed while the biggest prize of the rewards was Kamikaze! Fun fact: Both of the SX tickets I picked up from the Doomsday Shop gave me Kamikaze!! Wooooo. Haha very lucky in that way and bold decision-making to risk it out of the 12 heroes vs picking up Captain Ivanov who I could have maxed. But the returns were 100% worth it.

I’m happy overall! And actually it worked wonders as both gave me more front and mid-row options which I was lacking and more combinations. I can develop them them further in S6. So out of 10? 8.5 / 9 out of 10! A great mix of dupes and new heroes with top hero pick-ups I needed. Happy with my Eden Season Rewards, a short break before Season 6!
