Last Shelter SX Ticket UPDATE: Which Hero Group to Choose?
UPDATED SX Ticket Hero Groups including Lust and Retrograder
With the new additions of SX hero Retrograder Blaze Water (#25) and Lust Angeline Grace (#26), the SX hero ticket groups that you can pull from season rewards and Doomsday Shop in Last Shelter have subsequently changed. Instead of the PREVIOUS 2 groups of 12 heroes, we NOW have a total of 3 groups of 8-9 heroes! A big fundamental change to how we decide to consume those precious tickets. But as you know, I’m here for my Last Shelter KBA team to help figure out the ideal group to pull from, top hero picks in each and assess the risk factor so you are fully aware before you decide to dip. You can count on One Tech Traveller!
If you want to see what the PREVIOUS SX legendary ticket groups looked like as well as my accompanying video, check out the original article ‘SX Legendary Ticket: Which Group to Choose?‘. With that, here’s the NEW SX Hero Ticket Groups: all 3 of them.

OLD SX GROUPS (RETIRED)
UPDATED SX GROUPS (LATEST)
WHICH IS THE BEST?
Unlike the previous groupings, the last shelter developers have done a good job in balancing the overall strength, attractiveness and quality of heroes across the 3 groups, meaning it requires more thought in how you choose to spend those SX hero tickets. Objectively, group 1 offers the best value with both new heroes placed in the same group which is crazy alongside the top tier SX heroes that form the meta across fighters, shooters and vehicles. The risk is fairly low in Wanderer out of the 9 heroes, but compared to the other groups is the worst hero out of the heroes you wouldn’t want to get.
Group 2 is the next best, pairing top damage heroes in Huntress, Death Rider and Scarlet Siren altogether, mixed with good quality heroes across the board. There’s no one hero as bad as the other two groups, but Iron Sentinel is the weak link here as he doesn’t stack up to the other strong fighter heroes. Crusher, Valkyrie, Rose Noire and Koschei range from solid to highly rated, making this a solid group to pickup from. If you need to bolster your damage output, this is the group for you.
Finally we have group 3 which is focused on the support heroes, best for vehicle and shooters, with fighters being solid throughout. Lone Wolf is the weakest link here and the fact there are 8 instead of 9 heroes means while you’re likely to pick up these heroes, that also means a higher chance of pulling Lone Wolf. Just bear that in mind. That being said, Wrath and heaven’s Redemption are some of the best vehicle support heroes, with Wrath the top troop recovery blocker and HR with his all squad evasion, healing and silence for all-round excellence.
Hunk is highly rated in this group as he forms a deadly combo with Predator who is also in this group. Predator is a top tier shooter that supports the damage dealer and excels in basic troop attack APCs while Glutton is highly rated when paired with heroes that synergise with his skills. That leaves Patriot and Shadow, with the latter more useful as a front row alternative to Koschei that evades well, and Patriot the damage hitter and deals solid damage, but falls off after turn 3.
OVERALL VALUE 8 HERO VALUE (VEHICLE 9 / FIGHTERS 8 / SHOOTERS 7 RISK FACTOR MEDIUM
This group is ideal if you’re looking for the best primary mid-row or makeshift front row support heroes across the troop types. The smaller grouping is a plus, although the range of hero quality is bigger here than the other two. You’ll find the best troop recovery block hero in Wrath, exceptional evasion and healer for vehicles in Heaven’s Redemption, excellent damage support and hero activation in Predator for shooters and solid high synergy in Glutton for fighters.
If you partner Shadow, Hunk or Patriot with the right heroes, they become very good to work with, while standlaone they are anywhere from decent to solid but not stellar. Lone wolf is the weakest link in this group and adds to the riskiness if you don’t land the top heroes. The fact that wrath and heaven’s redemption are in the same group makes great pullingg for vehicles, while hunk and predator bolsters the former’s status up due to great synergy in predator’s skill activation for his confusion.
Out of all the heroes, you can form a complete shooter formation in this group with Shadow, Predator and Patriot, although it isn’t the best kind of pairing. Glutton and Hunk are alternatives to each other while if you end up with Lone wolf she plays in the back but is far weaker than her successor Scarlet Siren. Overall, excellent support heroes here specifically for vehicles and shooters, a high risk high reward kind of group.
OVERALL VALUE 8.5 HERO VALUE VEHICLE 9 / FIGHTERS 8 / SHOOTERS 8 RISK FACTOR LOW
VEHICLE (3) CRUSHER / DEATH RIDER / HUNTRESS FIGHTERS (3) PROPHET / SCARLET SIREN / IRON SENTINEL SHOOTERS (3) ROSE NOIRE / KOSCHEI / VALKYRIE
This is an excellent grouping if you plan to target some of the best damage hitters, primairly for vehicles but also for fighters. The fact that Huntress and Death Rider are in the same group compared to before makes this a highly attractive grouping while scarlet siren, the best damage dealer for fighters adds to the spice.
You’ll find highly rated shooters in Koschei and Rose Noire with Crusher and Valkyrie solid front row heroes. The weakest link in this group is Iron Sentinel, who is far behind the rest of the fighter heroes in skills and quality, but isn’t necessarily bad.. just outshined by a big margin compared to Canoness, Tech Priestess, Glutton, and all-round Retrograder.
You can however make a complete fighter formation in Iron Sentinel, Prophet and Scarlet Siren, with the ladies pairing well and Prophet having great synergy in her linked damage setup and marked debuff effect.
Overall, a very exciting and highly appealing grouping due to Death Rider and Huntress, but you’ll find solid quality across the range if you don’t land the top picks in the 3 damage dealing ladies.
OVERALL VALUE 9 HERO VALUE VEHICLE 9 / FIGHTERS 8.5 / SHOOTERS 9 RISK FACTOR LOW – MEDIUM*
This is going to be the most popular group out of the three for several reasons. The biggest surprise and the most appealing reason is the fact both Lust and Retrograder – the two new SX heroes – can both be picked up in the SAME group. Yes folks, you heard it right here, the devs have in theory made it easier to try and pick up either of the two newbies! They look VERY promising and I imagine will be highly in demand for those contemplating to pull their tickets.
Even if you don’t land those heroes, you’ll still find top tier and the best meta heroes for each troop type around – the front row vehicle Kamikaze, Super high damage shooter in Nomad and crazy healing fighter Canoness. Betrayed and Organic are still highly rated heroes you can pick up that compliment the top tier heroes while Sven being top tier exclusively for Eden / Doomsday and force tiling when in the right formation. (Panther and Ivanov).
That leaves us with Wanderer, arguably one of the weakest across the entire SX roster to dull the mouth-watering group that this is, but hey, they had to throw a spanner in the mix right?
So those are the three SX hero ticket groups, updated to include Lust and Retrograder for a total of 26 SX heroes. Crazy. After reading all of that, which group do you think looks the best, which group will you end up pulling your tickets and finally, which heroes are you targeting this season?
