Last Shelter Huntress Hilda is a focused-damage hero vehicle specialist that can clear troop rows in battle super fast. Her lock on enemy target with high damage output and great offensive synergy with other heroes makes her formidable and hard to deal with. She solely changes up the meta formation due to her INSANE damage output, breaking the typical combo with a damage dealer in the back because of her ability to kill them within 3 turns. Playing to her strength, she’s best in highly offensive combos with the only real way to counter her being evasion and confusion.

HUNTRESS HILDA
Absolute beast as a vehicle hitter. Her high skill activation, strength in battle as enemy lose troops and devastating damage makes her a real tough nut to crack. She needs good support heroes to reach her maximum potential, while loses effectiveness after the first 3 turns due to losing her lock on target ability. Overall, an exciting hitter that will significantly upgrade an APC with enemies having a difficult time to deal with.

JUNGLE DUEL (ENEMY DEBUFF) This is what makes Huntress so special – her ability to lock onto the opposite enemy in the same position and go crazy on them, gung-ho style. It makes front-loading damage in the first few turns really possible and brings those types of heroes back into contention a little more. When you add that with attacking the enemy effectively -50% resistance, the end result is truly spectacular and comparable with Nomad with more devastation in earlier rounds.

WILD POUNCE (DAMAGE + COUNTER) This is her more consistent damage trigger with a 25% overall chance to inflict suppression to negate full combat and basic troop attack. It’s a similar setup to Captain Ivanov and adds more dimensions to her raw damage skills, helped by increasing her basic attack frequency. In high offensive synergy combos, her suppression can trigger really well, numbing enemy when it comes to taking action.

DEADLY CLAWS (DAMAGE) Huntress’ best damage skill. If this triggers well the enemy is in big trouble, especially in the first 3 turns. It’s a passive skill so even if disarmed she’ll still execute this. 600% damage is already high to one enemy but there’s a layer that makes this stronger if the targeted hero has less than 50% of troops from start of battle. This means this skill really becomes deadlier more turns in battle. It’s especially killer in the first 3 turns where enemy resistance is 50% less. This skill in damage combos can easily deal 100K+ kills in 1-2 turns.

Being a damage dealer best to open skill 8 for more damage potential. It’s her best damage skill and you’ll get more out of her than awakening. Since she’s most effective inside 3 turns, awaken doesn’t matter as much while skill 8 will really get her steam-rolling even not awakened until later. This works better on 1 hit scenarios like sieging or taking out tiles but suffers in defensive scenarios like holding a gate, tile or oblivion structure until you can awaken her.

HOW TO COUNTER

The most resistance to Huntress (in isolation) in battle is either crazy high healing or lasting beyond 3 turns. From there, Huntress no longer locks on target which may be your key damage dealer or healer, with her attacks mainly hitting the front. The chances of winning is higher after the third turn. Counters that work best are evasion and confusion but disarms still prove very useful to nullifying basic troop attack frequency, especially if they add counters. Evasion from Heaven’s Redemption, Retrograder with shooters, or wrath are very effective, work best, while confusion from Lust, Hunk, Organic or Tech Priestess can return the damage back.

Exceptional healers such as Canoness and Retrograder can hold well provided their combat skills aren’t countered or reliably trigger. If up against high counter heroes paired with Huntress, heroes that make big damage reduction such as Organic or Predator can help soften the blow of her damage. Prophet’s applied debuff works well, more if the applied debuff is from shooters or vehicles that reduce combat skill damage or normal troop attack.

SYNERGY

MAJOR ANASTASIA (S3) incredible synergy as she ups Huntress’ passive skill damage as Ana does with Ivanov. Huntress benefits from that high combat speed to unleash her attacks first, more so against fighters and shooters while it depends against vehicles. The extra suppression triggered from Ana’s Blitzkrieg alongside Huntress pounce adds more % to inflict suppression while the slaughtering siege damage stack from Ana will bolster the already highly-empowered damage potential.

PREDATOR (SX) (MIXED COMBO) Predator inflicts to a similar effect as Major Anastasia, adding an extra guaranteed troop attack to Huntress, while offering more damage reduction to your APC should any hero get countered. This skill slightly differs from Ana’s damage buff as Predator ups Huntress skill damage vs Ana increasing enemy taking damage. Net effective is similar. Predator uniquely increases skill activation 10% and 30% more if it lands on Huntress. With Predator, just a little more limitation in that Huntress 100% needs to be in the back row.

COMPATIBLE

VALKYRIE (SX) (MIXED COMBO) her blitz ensures Huntress can trigger her skills first before any enemy squad while unleashing guaranteed solid damage in turn 2 and makes the enemy take more damage from friendly attacks. She would be in the synergy list but just misses out as her skill 8 Heavy Fire Power Assault increases friendly squad damage by 50%, but sadly only for shooter squads. If this was to any squad, Huntress would benefit and make Valkyrie excellent but is still good nonetheless.

BETRAYED (SX) (MIXED COMBO) his heroic strike increases Huntress next 2 attacks by 40% when the combat skill triggers which is great if it triggers in the first 3 turns, although has a relatively modest 30% skill activation. It also requires Huntress to be in the backrow, while missing out on betrayed getting a bigger 80% damage buff if he is in the back, so a trade-off and not the highest synergy but workable.

WRATH (SX) benefits from wrath’s reflective armour to negate damage if it lands on Huntress but isn’t guaranteed, while wrath levels the APC with his strong troop recovery block.

GLUTTON (SX) provides clear-minded status so she cannot be countered in any way including confusion, but limits her to the backrow. Her high damage also works well for Glutton in healing from turn 4 for survivability.

NOT COMPATIBLE

VANGUARD (S3) vanguard’s focus on combat skill damage is counter-productive with Huntress since Huntress is all passive skill-based for her damage. She also doesn’t take advantage of vanguard’s skill reload which ups the final combat skill over 4 turns to 100%.
